Semi cut crease FOTD

Inspired by this stunning photo that Dain shared with me, I decided to try my hand at doing a cut crease look. Initially I tried using a load of opaque eyeshadow colours from my Sleek Original palette, but I figured that doing a half cut crease with just eyeliner would be much more simple to start off with. 

Creating the look was simpler than I had anticipated, because I kinda cheated. Using my Ecotools angled eyeliner brush, I drew an outline of the shapes and angles that I wanted, and then went over it with my KATE gel eyeliner. As an afterthought, I dabbed some of my Chanel eye gloss onto the bare parts of the lid for extra contrast. 


For this look, I took advantage of the fact that the model is only showing half of her face. It meant that I didn't have to worry about matching eyeliner, which was awesome as I was going to be having trouble doing one eye as it was.

Here is my interpretation! I call it that because I don't have the amazing pixie hair or cheekbones to add to the angularity. Also as I have no lip brush, this is the most angular that I can make my lips look. But nevertheless I am just really impressed that this came out the way that it did!





No point listing the face makeup used as the lighting doesn't really showcase the makeup well. For the eyes I used: 
  • KATE gel eyeliner - both on the eyes and brushed onto the brows!
  • Chanel Eye Gloss Quad - lighter two colours on the centre of the lid - hence the creasing in the last photo, and smudged into the lower lashline
  • Shu Uemura Perfect Mascara Full Definition - this now lives in the bin as I have moved on to more defined and lengthening mascara pastures 
Oh wait, I also used Chanel Dragon RAL on the lips. Of course. :)
